Our Vetting Process

Our Vetting Process

Not Everyone Gets In. And That’s the Point.

Not Everyone Gets In.

And That’s the Point.

We believe homeowners deserve to feel confident about who's on their roof. That’s why we don’t accept just any roofing company into the VettedRoofs network. In fact, most roofers who apply don’t make the cut. We built our vetting process to do what online reviews and flashy ads can't - filter out the noise and bring forward only the most trusted professionals in each area.

Here’s how it works:

License & Insurance Verification

Before anything else, we require proof of state roofing licensure and full insurance coverage. We cross-check documentation directly with state databases to confirm it’s current and valid. No exceptions.

Reputation Screening

We don’t stop at star ratings. Our team digs into public reviews across multiple platforms, looking for consistent customer satisfaction, professional conduct, and timely communication. If there are red flags, we ask questions. If the answers aren’t clear, we move on.

Direct Customer Feedback

This is where we go deeper than anyone else. We contact real past customers to ask about their experience. Was the job done on time? Was the pricing fair? Were there any surprises or issues? This step often reveals more than any website ever could.

Workmanship Standards

We ask for photos and documentation from completed projects. We review the quality of materials, the cleanliness of the job site, and the overall attention to detail. If a roofer can’t back up their work, they’re not a fit.

Ongoing Monitoring

Even after a roofer is approved, our standards don’t relax. We routinely check for new reviews, complaints, and changes in licensing status. Homeowner feedback from VettedRoofs appointments is also tracked to ensure quality stays high.

Why This Matters

For homeowners, this means peace of mind. You’re meeting with a roofer who has already earned trust the hard way - through consistent, verifiable excellence. For roofers, it means standing apart from the low-quality operators flooding the market. When you’re part of VettedRoofs, you’re one of the few who made it through.

Trust is built before the ladder even hits the roof.

That’s why we vet every company like we’re hiring them for our own homes.
